Sample 10 Night Itinerary.

Itineraries are subject to change depending on tidal and weather conditions. This itinerary is also done in reverse from Swift Bay to Cygnet Bay.

A combination of seaplane and fixed wing light aircraft transfers are provided between Swift Bay and Kununurra.

Itineraries can be tailored for private group charters.

Day 1: Boarding

We start your Kimberley adventure with a 3-hour, air-conditioned coach trip to Cygnet Bay. Sit back and relax as you learn about the surrounding country, culture and history from our experienced guide. Join a Pearl Farm tour of the remarkable Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, and have the opportunity to view the showroom onsite. Board the vessel at Cygnet Bay and enjoy the afternoon cruise out across King Sound with sunset drinks on the bow as we steam into the evening across the racing tide.

Day 2: Yampi Sound to Talbot Bay (Horizontal Falls)

We’ll start our day with a refreshing swim in a secret freshwater water pool, or maybe try our luck at catching a fish, before taking a scenic cruise past Koolan Island as we make our way into Talbot Bay to view and experience one of the ‘greatest wonders of the natural world’, the Horizontal Waterfalls. Departing on the tide for a sunset cruise out into the expanse of the Buccaneer Archipelago.

Day 3: Collier Bay

Wake up in Collier Bay, home of the largest tides in the Southern Hemisphere – a truly amazing spectacle to behold. The day can be spent exploring one of several creek systems or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, a climb and swim in a freshwater watering hole. Leaving on the tide, we set sail north into Doubtful Bay and the regions of dramatic red escarpments and tidal reefs.

Day 4: Doubtful Bay/Montgomery Reef

Doubtful Bay, and the options are aplenty! Tides will dictate our daily activities, but there will be the opportunity to throw in a line, maybe try your hand at some mud crabbing, as well as numerous swimming holes and waterfalls to visit. Spend the afternoon observing the phenomenon that is the truly amazing Montgomery Reef system. Watch as the reef literally rises from the ocean on the dropping tide and reveals all its hidden wonders- a day you will truly remember.

Day 5: Camden Harbour to Hanover Bay

Start the day by visiting Camden Harbour and Sheep island- the failed settlement attempt by early Europeans. Then we’ll cruise through Port George, taking in some Pearling history, before arriving at Hanover Bay for an afternoon excursion, fish, and sunset beach walk.

Day 6: Prince Regent River

Wake up to the grandeur of your surroundings as we cruise down into the Prince Regent River. Then it’s out in the tenders to explore the tributaries and enjoy the day at Kings Cascades. There is also another opportunity to enjoy a freshwater swim in one of the crystal-clear tiered pools at the top. Back on board for a sunset cruise back out of the river with drinks on the bow to reflect on this incredible place.

Day 7: Careening Bay to Hunter River

Start the day with an early walk to the historic ‘Mermaid Tree’, one of the few places where you can see the King’s voyage of discovery along the coast, before cruising out towards the beautiful York Sound. Catch the rising tide into the Hunter River, anchoring in a stunning little location called Porosus Creek. An afternoon of mud crabbing awaits.

Day 8: Bigge Island

Spend the morning exploring the beautiful Bigge Island. A large, broken-sandstone island, Bigge Island is home to an abundance of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for the little rock wallaby, turtle nests, and crocodile tracks. There is also an opportunity to view some amazing rock art, with both Wandjina and Bradshaw on display with a maritime theme. Pelagic fishing and exploring of the Prudhoe Islands to the north in the afternoon, and dinner in a lovely, secluded anchorage.

Day 9: Bigge Island to Winyalkin Island

Spend the morning collecting the delicious Kimberley Black Lip Oyster, before wetting a line to try your hand at landing a decent pelagic. Enjoy lunch with friends and crew as you cruise to Winyalkin Island to view some more of the amazing Rock Art that’s on offer in the bay, with Gwion Gwion and Wandjina styles both available.

Day 10: Winyalkin Island to Swift Bay

Those eager to explore Winyalkin Island can enjoy a morning ashore, before cruising out to Swift Bay and the home of some of the most spectacular and diverse rock art available. Sunset on a remote beach to reflect on the adventure and to enjoy your last evening indulging in your conquests prepared by your onbaord chef.

Day 11: Swift Bay to Kununurra

Disembark Kimberley Pearl in the morning to board your complimentary scenic seaplane flight transfer to Kununurra.
