Day 1: Pick up Cygnet Steam to Silver Gull
Your Kimberley adventure begins with a scenic steam journey from Cygnet Bay to Silver Gull. Along the way, you’ll learn about the region's rich history and culture, before arriving at the oyster beds for an unforgettable hands-on experience. Spend the evening soaking in the tranquil surroundings before we continue on our voyage.
Day 2: Talbot Bay (Horizontal Falls)
Prepare for a thrilling day at one of nature’s most extraordinary wonders: the Horizontal Falls. Our cruise takes us through the striking Talbot Bay, where the massive tides create this awe-inspiring phenomenon. You’ll experience the sheer power of the falling water, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise through the Buccaneer Archipelago, taking in the stunning landscape.
Day 3: Doubtful Bay (Steep Head Island, Ruby Falls)
Wake up to the rugged beauty of Doubtful Bay, where dramatic red cliffs rise out of the sea. Today’s adventure includes a visit to Steep Head Island, home to incredible wildlife and stunning views. Continue to Ruby Falls, a hidden gem where you can swim in the cool, crystal-clear waters or simply relax in this peaceful, isolated spot. A true Kimberley experience.
Day 4: Prince Regent River
Today, we navigate the mighty Prince Regent River, a spectacular location surrounded by steep escarpments. Our exploration takes us to the iconic Kings Cascades, a series of stunning waterfalls that cascade down the cliffs into the river below. Here, you’ll have the chance to take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters at the top of the falls, offering a perfect moment to connect with the wilderness around you.
Day 5: Deception bay (Fishing + Butterfly Creek Walk and Swim)
Start the day with some exciting fishing in Deception Bay, home to a rich variety of marine life. Then, take a walk through the scenic Butterfly Creek, named for the delicate butterflies that flit through the air. The creek is surrounded by lush vegetation, and the swim at the end of the walk in the cool, fresh waters is an excellent way to end your exploration of this tranquil haven.
Day 6: Montgomery Reef
The day is spent at the remarkable Montgomery Reef, a natural wonder that rises dramatically from the ocean as the tide recedes. Watch in awe as the reef reveals its hidden secrets, from rock pools teeming with marine life to vast expanses of exposed coral. This unique phenomenon is a must-see during your Kimberley adventure and provides unforgettable memories.
Day 7: Sale River (Fishing & Serendipity Falls Walk and Swim)
Explore the serene Sale River, an ideal location for a morning of fishing. Afterward, we’ll head to the secluded Serendipity Falls, a hidden oasis where you can take a peaceful walk along the banks and swim in the refreshing, crystal-clear pools. The tranquility of this place offers the perfect escape into nature.
Day 8: Secure Bay (Fishing & Lead Line Creek Walk and Swim)
Today, we venture to Secure Bay, where you’ll enjoy a rewarding fishing experience in calm, sheltered waters. Later, embark on a walk along Lead Line Creek, which winds through lush bushland before leading you to a refreshing swim in its cool waters. Secure Bay is the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the Kimberley wilderness.
Day 9: Dugong Bay (Turtle Falls & McNabs Walk and Swim)
Dugong Bay offers an idyllic setting for today’s activities, starting with a visit to Turtle Falls, a beautiful waterfall where you can swim beneath the cascade or simply relax by the pools. Later, we take a scenic walk along the McNabs Trail, known for its rugged terrain and sweeping views, followed by another refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.
Day 10: Silica Beach & Steam Back to Cygnet Bay
End your Kimberley adventure in the pristine Silica Beach, known for its fine white sand and serene waters. Spend your final hours on the beach, unwinding and reflecting on your incredible journey. Afterward, we board the vessel for a steam back to Cygnet Bay, where we’ll say our goodbyes, concluding this unforgettable Kimberley experience.
