Sample 11 Night Itinerary.


Please note itineraries are subject to change depending on tides and weather conditions.  Itineraries can be tailored for private group charters.

Day 1: Boarding

Your incredible Kimberley journey starts with a scenic coach transfer Broome to Dampier Peninsula where you will board the vessel and meet the crew before departing across King Sound and into the Buccaneer Archipelago. Enjoy the afternoon cruise with sunset drinks on the bow as we cruise into the evening across the racing tide.

Day 2: Yampi Sound to Talbot Bay (Horizontal Falls)

We’ll start our day with a refreshing swim in a secret freshwater swimming hole, try your luck at catching a fish, before taking in the scenery of Cockatoo and Koolan Islands as we make our way into Talbot Bay for the evening.

Day 3: Talbot Bay to Collier Bay

You’ll have the opportunity to experience ‘one of the greatest wonders of the natural world’ as described by David Attenborough as you ride through the Horizontal Waterfalls in one of our tenders, then enjoy a cruise through the ancient geological landscape that surrounds Talbot bay and onto Collier Bay to dock for the evening.

Day 4: Collier Bay to Doubtful Bay

Collier Bay - home of the largest tides in the Southern Hemisphere – a truly amazing spectacle to behold. The day spent exploring one of several creek systems available, a climb and freshwater swim at a secret watering hole is a great way to spend the afternoon before we sail to the northern reach of the Bay.

Day 5: Montgomery Reef

Spend the day observing the phenomena that is the truly amazing Montgomery Reef system. Watch as the reef literally rises from the ocean on the dropping tide and reveals all its hidden wonders- a day you will truly remember.

Day 6:  Camden Harbour to Hanover Bay

Start the day visiting Camden Harbour and Sheep island- the failed settlement attempt by early Europeans. Then we’ll cruise through Port George taking in some Pearling history before arriving at Hanover Bay for an afternoon excursion, fish and sunset beach walk.

Day 7: Prince Regent River 

Wake up to the grandeur of your surrounds as we cruise down into the Prince Regent River. Then its’ out in the tenders to explore the tributaries and enjoy the day at King Cascade.  There is also the opportunity for another amazing freshwater swim in one of the crystal-clear tiered pools at the top. Back on board for a sunset cruise back out of the river with drinks on the bow as you reflect on this incredible place.

Day 8: St Georges Basin to Deception Bay

We’re in St Georges Basin where we’ll head out to try our luck at catching the elusive Barramundi, take in the sights of this ancient landscape with its soaring cliffs and grand peaks. The afternoon will be spent on board as we cruise around Augustus Island and make our way south into whale country!

Day 9: Deception Bay to Buccaneer Archipelago

We’re in Deception Bay where the water is clear and very inviting - a long beach walk beckons to stretch those sea hardened legs! Keep your eyes peeled for blows and breaches - its whale territory in season and the viewing is up close and personal- an exhilarating experience. There’s a freshwater gorge swim on the cards as well.

Day 10: Doubtful Bay to Buccaneer Archipelago

We’re in Doubtful Bay and the options are aplenty! Tides will dictate our daily activities, but there will be the opportunity to throw in a line, try your hand at some mud crabbing, as well as numerous swimming holes and waterfalls to visit, and the chance to view some rock art. The evening cruise into the sunset is one not to be missed

Day 11: Buccaneer Archipelago

Today will be spent exploring some of the many Islands that make this 1000 Island Archipelago. The chance to collect some magnificent Kimberley rock oysters, troll a lure for some pelagic action in the tenders, beach walk and swim or just relax on what is the penultimate day of your trip. “Dining Under the Stars” on our top deck is a truly memorable way to finish off what will have be an unforgettable Kimberley experience

Day 12: Cygnet Bay to Broome

Cruise back to passenger drop off point to disembark the Kimberley Pearl and catch your connecting scenic coach transfer back to Broome.  Times will be dependent on tides, Kimberley Pearl Charters would recommend afternoon/evening flight departures from Broome if wishing to return same day of disembarkation to allow for any delays.
